Old Montreal
The traditional part of Montreal, known as the Old Montreal, offers many of the city’s activities. Take a cruise down the river, walk along European-style streets or dine at one of the many delectable restaurants in the area. Old Montreal is also home to many important museums like the Marguerite Bourgeoys Museum, as well as various art galleries.
Montreal: A Bird’s Eye View
The view of Montreal from Mount Royal is incomparable to any sight. At the top of the mountain you’ll find a magnificent park. Mount Royal Park is one of Montreal’s largest greenspaces. Another breathtaking view is from the tallest inclined tower in the world at the Olympic Stadium, which was built for the 1976 Summer Olympics. Facing “The Big O” stadium is the Montreal Botanical Garden with a collection of 22,000 plant species and revered as one of the world’s largest and most spectacular.

The Old Port, not to be confused with The Port of Montreal, offers many great activities like jet boating or cruises. Jean Drapeau Park is comprised of two islands in the Saint Lawrence River where you can find outdoor activities to be enjoyed year-round. One of the islands, Saint Helen’s, is home to La Ronde, a Six Flags amusement park.
